The ones you need in your life most

What is a best friend? Everyone has different opinions on what a best friend is. To me, a best friend is one who is there for you when it seems that the whole world has walked out on you. They are the ones who are there to listen to you, support you, help you, and always be there for you. When you find your true best friend, it makes life a whole lot better. Throughout my life I was always told that in High School would be where I met all of my best friends, that I would have for the rest of my life. Sure when I was going through High School, I had great friends, but never a best friend that I could go to and talk to about anything and trust them not to say anything. So after High School I attended a Community College that was only about 8 minutes down the road. This was where I met my true best friends. The really weird thing is that out of my five best friends, three of them are from my rival schools. When playing High sports, the thought of becoming best friends with the ones who were your rivals, was not even thought of. This is because you think you would never want to be their friends, because of the tension on the playing field. However, I do not know how I would live without these five girls because they are a huge part of my life that I would not change for anything. If I was given the opportunity to go back and change where I went to college, I would not even think about it. It stinks meeting your best friends at a two year school and then having to split up and go your separate ways, but I believe that it tests how true your friendship really is.

I definantly agree with you. Transferring away from your friends is so hard. Going to different schools does give you the opportunity to meet lots of new people, but familiar faces are always the best.
