Fire Alarms and loud people.

In our pamphlet for Cortland, they did not mention anything about a 6:30 am fire alarm. Yes I know that it's mandatory, but who seriously makes popcorn at 6:30 in the Morning on a Tuesday? Yes maybe they were drunk but the rest of the building would greatly appreciate if you would cook things starting at the time of nine in the morning. There is nothing like waking up to the loud and annoying ringing of a fire alarm. Or better yet, getting the crap scared out of you because you are not expecting it. Yes I'm glad and happy that we have fire alarms for our safety, but seriously I hate it when people are stupid and set them off on purpose. I believe that everyone caught pulling the fire alarms should be fined and have it be mandatory to write a twelve page paper on why not to pull the fire alarm. Yes this is a lot of punishment for pulling one, but I can guarantee that everyone in the dorms would see it as fit. So they would not have to get up in the early morning for stupidity. This would be a better crack down on those who do this for fun. For now, since we really cannot put a stop to people randomly pulling the alarms I suggest packing a fire alarm bag. In this bag you should pack your socks,a pair of sweat pants, a sweat shirt, your car keys, wallet, cell phone, and car phone charger. Why the wallet, car keys, and car phone charger? This is because if there really is a fire you will have your money for the emergency, you will have your car keys so you can leave and go home because let's face it you are going to go home and say whatever to school cause your dorm just burnt down. Packing the car phone charger is obvious because if your phone charger for your wall just burnt, then you will have a source of power for your phone so you could make the necessary phone calls!
