Procrastination

Procrastination, we all do it. But why do we procrastinate? A majority of us already feel overwhelmed with projects and assignments that are already due. So when we find out that we have something else do that is coming up, we feel as if we need to take a break for a couple days. If we do not take a break, then we will more than likely lose our minds. Or we will do poorly on the project if we start it right away because our minds are already burnout from all of the other things that we have had to do. Some people feel that when they wait till the last moment to do a project, that they do better on it than they would if they would have started it early. This is because people feel they produce better work under pressure. Also that they need that pressure of having to get it done before the next day, just to motivate themselves. This is because if they would have started it early, they would not be motivated to do well on it because they know it is not due soon. For some people, they could never procrastinate because they do not handle pressure well. Which in the end, makes their work turn out poor because they did not have enough time to think about what it is that they needed to get across in the project. For me, it all depends on the assignment. If I know that the project counts greatly towards my grade, I will start it way ahead of time. Otherwise I usually just wait a week before to do it.
