Where is the heat?
I woke up this morning and it was about forty-five degrees outside and about thirty inside of my room. Why hasn't the heat kicked on? I messed around with the switch and the dial but nothing happened. I felt as if I was a Popsicle in a freezer, that has been sitting there forever. Waiting to become frostbitten. Why does the school not check into the heating systems before all of the students move into their dorms in August. Yes it is hot then and we should not need heaters, but what happens when it gets cold out like this morning? Half of the campus will be sick if they have to sleep in these cold conditions. If the students do get sick, then they will not attend classes, which hurts the college in the long run. I have talked to a couple of people and nothing has happened to make my heat work. Yeah maybe they have thought about fixing it, but thinking about it will not miraculously make the heater turn on. Our common room heater is working, so we tried to leave the our door open at night to absorb some of the heat, but then you have the idiots on your floor yelling at one thirty in the morning. What the heck are they thinking. I thought fire alarms were bad at six thirty in the morning. I never imagined that people could be rude and yell at the top of their lungs at that time of night. What they do not realize is that some of us here do not go out and party like they do 24/7, but focus on our work. The only way I would not mind their yelling, is if the air coming out of their mouth was warm enough to heat up the whole hallway.
