Baby Time

It was 5:30 yesterday afternoon ( Wed), when I got the phone call. My best friend had gone into labor. I became very anxious and very upset at the same time. Here I was stuck at college, an hour away and unable to go home. This is because I had a test on thursday, that I needed to study for. The only thing I wanted was to go be there when she was having her. I wanted to be in the waiting room, when the doctor would come out. But no, I was stuck here. Infact, I am still stuck here. It is Thursday, and I am so anxious I just want to leave now, but I can't. This is because I have two more classes to go to until I can go home. Her name is Kaelyn Janet. She is seven pounds, twelve ounces. Two of my friends who had went to see her yesterday, had sent me a picture, and she is so adorable. As soon as I saw the picture I feel in love with that cute little chubby face, and button nose. I will tell you what, that baby will be so spoiled by me. She is practically my niece. Her mother and I are so close, that I know I am an aunt. It is amazing how much a baby, when brought into this world, can change the life of everyone around them. Even though they cry, scream, and you have to change their diaper, they bring such a joy to your life. So I sit here waiting impatiently for my next two classes to start and be done with. Of course since I want to leave so bad, these classes will seem twice as long.
